Hello
, Here is some “Real Talk” for you. The US Department of State pushed a policy to all administrations to get Ukraine be absorbed and then controlled by Russia. At the time the department believed they needed a counterweight to China and Russia needed Ukraine to be the counterweight. After 2014, Russia was now seen as an adversary and this policy shifted to encouraging Russia to invade Ukraine and so Ukraine could destroy Russia in the same way Afghanistan destroyed the Soviet Union. This policy is not coming from any Secretary of State or any President, it is from the institution itself. Look to the actions from the US Department of State to see their policy, not their words. When Russia invaded Ukraine it didn’t go as planned not only for Russia, but also for the US Department of State. The department wanted a quick win so the conflict would move to a guerilla war. Ukraine had other ideas. All United States Presidential Administrations followed the policy of the US Department of State, this makes the United States responsible for encouraging this conflict. The current US Presidential Administration is actually a relief to the US Department of State as they are following their preferred policy. This goes back to what I said in a previous reply to your previous post in Ukraine. Everyone has a choice to either: - Do the right thing, or - Think only of themselves What kind of person do you want to be in this world? These are the choices now for everyone. Failing to support Ukraine sufficiently to win and pushing for a peace plan that will result in a guerilla war in the occupied territories of Ukraine, this is now the policy from the US Department of State after May 2022 as a response to the new conditions. Does this look like doing the right thing to you, Mr Schlichter? It looks to me like actions arising from an institution thinking only of itself and its nation. I say again, in case you missed it the first time. The United States would have lost the American Revolutionary War without the support of France, Spain, and Holland amongst others. To Paraphrase comments from on Fox during 4th July Celebrations, The United States has been generous in supporting other nations in their aspirations for Democracy. Why do this?, because it is the right thing to do. The United States shares significant responsibility in allowing this conflict to happen because of the policy pushed by the US Department of State in relation to Ukraine since 1992. This is not the centre of my thesis here. It is about elected representatives, like the President of the United States, doing the right thing when recommendations from the US Department of State do not reflect this. Do you even understand what it means to do the right thing for Ukraine? I looked through many of your posts and did a search with your handle and Ukraine. I found nothing the reflects doing the right thing in your posts. The posts I found avoid this topic entirely. I did find a post from you that aligns with the US Department of State’s current preferred policy which came into effect under Biden and continues with the Current President. (x.com/KurtSchlichter). It also reflects actions from thinking only of the United States, ignoring the legacy of a gift from Spain, France, Holland and others supporting the American Revolutionary War. I want to emphasize again, without this support, the United Stated would not exist today. Any discussion about war in Ukraine needs to at least consider the conditions required for Ukraine to win before drawing any conclusions. I believe in doing the right thing in regard to Ukraine, I find you silent on this in twitter. PS: If you want to understand if Ukraine can really win, how about following people who actively follow the conflict like youtube.com/@PerunAU, , , and . I notice you get many replies citing RT, this is not an objective source on the conflict.
